Mission Statement
Lantis is dedicated to developing advanced dental products based on novel technologies that enable the dental professional to provide the highest standard of care to their patients while ensuring an optimal patient experience.

Background
Lantis was formed to commercialize the application of novel technologies in the dental industry. The criteria for selected products include competitive edge, exclusivity and large market potential. The OCT System product meets all these criteria and is expected to have a major impact on dentistry while being lucrative for investors. The Company plans to launch its exclusive OCT Dental Imaging System(TM) in the second quarter of 2009 as its first product.

Lantis has  exclusive rights to the application of OCT technology in the field of dentistry under its license Agreements with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (exclusive) and LightLab Imaging (non-exclusive).  OCT was invented in the early 1990's at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is currently being commercialized by Carl Zeiss Meditec, Inc. in ophthalmology and by LightLab Imaging for cardiovascular imaging. Application research is ongoing in many bio-medical areas including cancer detection.

Management
Management has extensive experience in the dental industry, imaging technology development, marketing and distribution, and clinical and research dentistry.  Their combined experience will assure that products are optimally developed in a timely manner and positioned correctly in the market place.

Stan Baron (Chairman, President and CEO) has almost 40 years international business experience including over 25 years in the dental industry. He has founded and grown a number of companies in this time. He has a unique ability to understand and identify the needs of dentistry; to search out and secure licenses for technologies that meet these needs; and to put together the resources to commercialize novel technologies.

Craig Gimbel, D.D.S. (Co-Founder and Executive Vice-President of Clinical Affairs)  is a recognized authority in laser/photonics and other high technology. He is the 2003 recipient of the prestigious T.H. Maiman Award for excellence in dental laser research and President of the Academy of Laser Dentistry for 2007. His experience as a Principal Investigator for the Erbium:YAG laser and other technologies for dentistry is invaluable for the clinical development of the Company’s products. Dr. Gimbel is the author of many publications and has lectured worldwide on the integration of dental technology. He has been featured in the media, including Dateline NBC, for his expertise in dental technology. His “hands-on” clinical experience and recognition in the dental profession is an asset to the company.

Doug Hamilton (Vice-President of Research & Development) has extensive experience in the development of imaging system products. As former President and Director of Operations of Aries International Inc., he is “solutions oriented” with invaluable experience in “hands on” project team management including systems development and integration of advanced optical, digital and radiographic imaging products. He has successfully developed over 14 hardware and software products for industrial and medical markets with his specialty being image acquisition, processing, 3D manipulation and storage. A large part of his experience has been in the NDE industry where his experience also includes business development and contract negotiations for systems designs. Among his major clients were Dupont, Siemens, TVA, D.O.E., Duke University, and the National Institute of Health.

Linda Otis, D.D.S. (Vice-President of Clinical Research) is an authority on OCT, having initiated the first research on its application in dentistry with the Medical Technology Program at Lawrence Livermore in 1994. As a radiologist, she has held teaching positions at Universities and undertaken research at many levels. Currently she is a Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences and Pathology at the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and continues to research the applications of OCT in dentistry. She lectures nationally, has published widely, and is named on three OCT patents. Dr. Otis was awarded the prestigious T. H. Maiman Award in 2006 for her work on OCT and the impact it will have in dentistry.

OCT Dental Imaging System(TM) Development
The OCT Dental Imaging System(TM) is currently in Phase 2 and Phase 3 development.   The objective of Phase 2 is to build 5 Beta OCT Systems for clinical use prior to completing the final specification for the pre-production System.  The Beta systems are expected to be built and in clinical use in December 2008. These Beta systems will be placed in clinical use with leading clinicians and universities to provide user interface feedback and characterization data.  System development will include a new software suite to accommodate the high scanning speed and clinical software for image capture, manipulation and storage.  The hand-held scanner will be optimized for “in-the-mouth” image capture.

Phase 3 will focus on  finalizing the pre-production System specification, including final industrial design.  The System will be sold in a stand-alone cart System.  FDA 510(k) clearance will be applied for in this Phase and this is typically obtained with a 90-day pre-market notification.

Market Potential
In the U.S., dentists form the largest medical sub-group, with 140,000 practicing in 100,000 offices in 380,000 treatment rooms.  Europe, Japan and other first world countries have at least another 100,000 offices. Based on the assumption that each office would purchase one OCT System, the world market can be estimated at 200,000 Systems.  At the targeted  retail price of $25,000 the total potential market for the OCT System is estimated at $5 billion. If Lantis achieves a market penetration of 5% with 10,000 units sold in years 2009 to 2012 years after market introduction, cumulative sales at retail would total approximately $250 million.  Management is confident that this level of sales can be achieved in the years 2009 to 2012, based on early adopters of new technology being an estimated 5-7% of potential users.
